Christ Is The Nature Of God

What I refer here as the nature of God is His righteousness, His wisdom, His Holiness, His faith, His power and His character. Yes, faith, wisdom and power are also part of the nature of God. In a previous post I explained how faith and wisdom is a character in the nature of God. So in Christianity we see ourselves as growing little by little, through experiences, knowledge, devotions etc.
We take these things and make sermons about the 5 steps of growing in faith, the 7 step of becoming more holy and righteous, the 9 step of having more power, the 4 steps of growing in wisdom, and so on. And we believe we have to follow all these steps and continue to struggle to grow until we probably reach perfection. But the truth is that Christ has already become all these things to us.
“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact expression of his nature,” (Heb 1:3)
“But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God… Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.” (1Cor 1:24,30).
I have emphasize this in many of my posts, if you have been following me you would have known all these things by now. But the reason I am writing this post is to demonstrate how we can actually grow in the nature of God. The Bible says faith comes by knowledge (Rom 10:17). Peter went on to say;
“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the KNOWLEDGE of God, and of Jesus our Lord, Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2Pet 1:2, 4).
The first thing to note about growing in the nature of God is knowledge. Christ is not just the nature of God, but he is also the expression of the nature of God. So in order to express the nature of God you need this Christ, but Christ right now is in your spirit. You need Christ to move from your spirit into your heart so that you can express him.
“For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ… But it pleases God,… to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen;” (Gal 1:12,15-16).
You need him to be revealed in your heart, you need to get a revelation of this Christ. You cannot express him until he is revealed in you, until you are able to look into your heart and see him there. He must become so real to you, in your heart, that it feels like you could touch him. Once you get the revelation of the faith of God, the power of God, the righteousness of God, the holiness of God or the wisdom of God; once you have the revelation of this Christ (in whatever dimension) and you are able to see him, the next thing is to come into him and rest.
“God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself.” (1Cor 1:30 NLT).
It is in that unity that we enjoy the benefit of having him as wisdom, power, righteousness etc. You must see him in you, come into him and abide in him. Once you come into him then you can express him. Just as you express carnality when you are in the flesh, you can also express the nature of God when you are in Christ.
You need faith?
Then get a revelation of Christ your faith and learn to abide in him, especially when you want to express faith. You want to be holy and righteous? Then get a living revelation of Christ your holiness and righteous and abide in him, live from inside him, and he would be expressed through you. You want to walk in the power of God? Then get a revelation of Christ the power of God, come to know him, for he is not a tool that is subjected to you, but he is your Lord.
Know this Christ who is the power of God in your, learn to submit to him, and allow him express himself through you. Whichever of the nature of God you want to walk in, it starts from getting the revelation, fixing your eyes on him, abiding in him, resting in him, and out of that rest will spring out a living expression of him. And the more you abide in him, the more you are apprehended by him.
“Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” (Heb 4:11).
The unity comes from the consistency and persistence in your abiding. At the first stage of abiding you labor to enter into the rest, the laboring is based on the fact that unbelief is trying to apprehend you. So you learn to rebuke unbelief, free yourself from it and come into Christ to rest. Now as you continue to do that you will find out that you are being apprehended by this rest.
You can no longer live outside of the rest, in fact you are becoming one with it. The more you abide and rest, the more you become one with Christ; you become one with the righteousness of God, the power of God, the wisdom of God, the faith of God etc. As you abide, the clutch of this Christ tightens and becomes cemented over you that you can no longer free yourself from it. You become a slave to it.
“Don’t you realize that you become a slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin which leads to death, or you can be a slave of righteousness.” (Rom 6:16).
Yes, you can be a slave of righteousness, it is indeed true. You can get to a place that even when you try to sin you just can’t, and the more you struggle you feel a hold inside your heart, as if you have been locked inside a clutch. In fact, you will have to struggle and struggle to break free. It would just be too difficult for you to sin, if you want to start sinning you will have to start learning all over again how to sin.
I am telling you all this from experience. I have gotten to this depth, and before I could come out I had to teach myself how to sin all over again—cause be that spirit of rebellion. It exists, it is there in Christ, you can become a slave to righteousness. You can become a slave to wisdom, a slave to the power of God, a slave to the super faith of God, a slave to holiness etc. You can come into oneness and unity with God.
